Just one year after Bronx-based designer Jerome LaMaar launched his brand 5:31 Jerome, Beyoncé and her stylist reached out to him for custom looks. From a coat at the 2014 Women in Music luncheon to a top at the 2016 Made in America festival to a custom look for Black is King, Bey has worn many a 5:31 Jerome piece. Beyoncé's mother even Instagrammed a photo wearing one of his pieces. LaMaar also landed a contract with Dover Street Market after Beyoncé was photographed wearing one of his pieces to the Billboard Music Awards.
